After an early breakfast, we will pick you up from your hotel and drive to the entrance of Shivapuri National Park, located just 12 kilometers north of Kathmandu. The drive takes around 30 minutes, offering views of the lush hills and traditional villages surrounding the Kathmandu Valley.
Once at the park entrance, you will begin your hike, starting at an altitude of around 1,500 meters. The trail winds through dense forests of oak, rhododendron, and pine, as you gradually ascend towards the summit of Shivapuri Hill. Along the way, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy the peaceful surroundings and observe the local flora and fauna.
The hike is moderately challenging, with an ascent of around 1,000 meters, but the well-maintained trail makes it manageable for most fitness levels. As you climb higher, you’ll be rewarded with stunning views of the Kathmandu Valley and the surrounding mountain ranges. The summit of Shivapuri (2,573 meters) offers panoramic views of the Himalayas, including Langtang, Ganesh Himal, and even Mount Everest on clear days.
After taking in the incredible scenery and enjoying some time at the summit, you will begin your descent back to the park entrance.
